Saucony Peregrine 7 Large competition

Congratulations to Ntsako Chauke and Kamlani Moodley for winning our TRAIL 23 reader competition!

Why should you want to own a pair of Peregrine 7 shoes?

Saucony’s new Peregrine 7 is adaptable across any terrain, thanks to the ultra-grippy PWRTRAC outsole.

The upper is the most noticeable change to the Peregrine 7, with a TPU Exoskeleton for enhanced support and protection. The toe bumper is an extension of the TPU Exoskeleton, wrapping around the entire forefoot.

Full-length EVERUN topsole cushions every footstrike with a resilient, energised ride.

This latest model still features the nylon fibre rock plate you have come to depend on to provide protection without sacrificing flexibility.

Ventilation in the new model remains excellent.

Saucony athlete, Lucky Miya, wore the Peregrine 7 trail shoes for a 62km run in the southern Drakensberg to prepare for Skyrun 2016, and loved every moment.

Saucony Peregrine 7 competition vertical TRAIL 23“The shoe is flexible, light, gives support and protection, wraps the foot, and there is room in the toebox,” says Lucky. “Their performance is excellent on technical and wet surfaces.”

He added that he hadn’t run 100km in one go with the Peregrine, but felt he could definitely do 100km in a single run in them.

  1. I am an avid road runner and mountain hiker, but now I am new to trail running since I decided to combine two of my favorite activities. I am looking for a superior pair of shoes that can make my new hobby more enjoyable, and that I can take with me as my ‘afternoon comfort shoes’ when I attempt to summit Mt Kili in August. I’ve read great reviews about the Saucony Peregrine 7 shoes and would love to put them to the ultimate test myself! Pick me, pick me!

  2. I would love to win a pair for James and myself. We have recently started trail running and find ourselves falling more in love with the sport, the more we explore different trails. James has recently been looking to purchase a pair of trail running shoes and has his heart set on a pair of Saucony Peregrine 7 as he loves how light the shoe is, the extra width in the toe box, the everun sole (which is the same as his Saucony Triumph road running shoes) and the way it cushions his foot amongst other things. We would most definitely get many kilometers of happy trail running out of a pair of Saucony Peregrine 7 shoes .

  3. The Peregrine 6 was probably the most comfy trail shoe I’ve every worn. The grip really gave me a lot of confidence especially on steep downhills. I was however pretty disappointed when they fell apart after just 200km. I’m told the Peregrine 7s are just as good but much more durable. I think giving me a pair of 7s would be a great way to restore my faith 😉

  4. I would love to win these for my husband who works in the desert in Mali amen cam only ever do trail runs. He desperately needs a decent, quality, supportive trail shoe to get him through those hard km’s!

  5. As an active person I struggle to find correct shoes for trail running and my gym routine. Saucony looks ideal for all terrain purposes and the stylish trendy design has me weak at the knees.
